Three Lakes Challenge

On 22nd and 23rd of June 2003 Coventry Mercia Round Table, in association with Coventry Dragons were involved in an event which set a new World Record.  The team Paddled a Dragon Boat the length of the longest lakes in Scotland (Loch Ness), England (Lake Windermere) and Wales (Lake Bala).

 

The Challenge was to manage the whole event within 24 hours and in the process raise money for Baby Lifeline.  The eventual time of 19 Hours, 18 Minutes and 22 Seconds meant that not only was a new record set, but an estimated £8000 was raised for Charity.
