Balsall Common Round Table was formed in 2006 from a previous Table—Coventry Mercia—which was itself formed in in 1971. Our number—1042—indicates that we were the one thousand and forty second Table formed in the UK. Now, more than thirty five years later we are still going with the aim of having fun, and doing work for local good causes.
Our membership comes from a diverse area but is predominantly based in Balsall Common, Meriden and Eastern Green.

In recent years our fund-raising successes have included two Cycle rides and the ‘Three Lakes Challenge’, a Dragon Boat challenge across the UK, details of which you can find elsewhere on this site. Last year we tried to set a new World Record—along with a little help from our friends—for a simultaneous head-shave! Whilst we came up short (!) we had a great time and raised thousands of pounds for Macmillan Nurses.
More recently we have been running a Charity Quiz every month at the Brickmaker’s arms (see programme for dates) and you may even have seen us roasting Chestnuts in the village at Christmas.
